PIZZA and prizes were the order of the day as Procast celebrated its 10th anniversary at the group’s headquarters in Strathaven today, September 14, 2021.
A plaque commissioned for the big occasion was handed over to Group Managing Director Derek Innes by Group Finance Director Gillean Watters.
And the cherry on the cake – or, rather, topping on the pizza – was the chance to bask in the recognition Procast received in the recent Scotland Energy Efficiency awards.
Staff were invited to join the celebrations in Strathaven, where Gillean praised Derek’s commitment and leadership.
She said: “Procast Building Contractors Ltd was established as a limited company on September 14, 2011. A great team of people have contributed to the growth and success of Procast, and the strength of the company is determined by the people working in it.
“However, in order to create a great team, there needs to be a great leader, and we call him Derek!
“His drive, determination and can-do attitude have pushed everyone in Procast to do their best and always deliver.
“We started with a few, and now we are many – not only in numbers but also in talents and creativity.
“We are proud of what Procast has accomplished and we look forward to being part of its continued success for many more years to come. Congratulations on 10 years in business!”
At the Energy Efficiency Awards, Procast were named Regional Insulation and Fabric Installer/Contractor of the Year – an accolade they have achieved for three consecutive years now.
They were also highly commended in the Regional Large Scale Project of the Year in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, who won the category.
And they were highly commended for Regional Small Scale Project of the Year for the work carried out at Strathaven Airfield.
In turn, Procast nominated North Lanarkshire Council in the Local Authority of the Year category – in which NLC were highly commended.
Another nominee – Thenue Housing Association – was also highly commended in the Regional Housing Association of the Year Category, as was The Energy Agency, nominated in the Regional Vulnerable Customer Support Campaigner of the Year category.
