Bikeability is today’s cycle training programme. It’s about helping children gain practical skills, confidence and understanding how to cycle on today’s roads safely.
St Bernadette’s Primary School in Motherwell currently run ‘Bikeability’ lessons as part of their Cycle Proficiency Programme. However, as not all the children own their own bikes, some of the kids are missing out on this valuable training.
When hearing of this, Procast decided to get involved – We were delighted to organise a ‘Design a Mascot’ competition with the best design winning a bicycle for the ‘school’ that could be used by pupils whenever Bikeability lessons were being held and allow all children to be ‘included’.
After some tough choices by the judges, as the quality of the entries was extremely high, the decision was made to award the winner to ‘Eilidh Nolan’ P4 for her stunning “Peter – the pro cast mascot”.
Eilidh even managed to capture our 4 main company drivers – People, Customers, Quality and Sustainability. Well Done!
