Frank’s pride in Property division success

4th August 2021

SUCCESS is always a cause for celebration at Procast and nowhere is that more true than in the company’s Property Services division.

In just two years, it has seen remarkable growth – not just in terms of its financial turnover but also in the number of projects it has secured and the significant number of jobs that have been created.

These achievements bring great pride to Procast Property Services Managing Director Frank McManus (pictured above, centre) who has steered this part of the business through some stormy waters generated in part by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now looking at an order book worth £10.5 million and a projected turnover in the 2021-2022 financial year of £9.5 million, Frank said: “I am supremely grateful for the support of everyone at the Procast group of companies and the directors for the guidance and loyalty they have shown me while my team I shape and build our business.

“We have a target of growth within various sectors within the next three years and are currently ahead of our projections.”

It’s all a rather long way from the moment Frank joined the business back in July, 2019, at the launch of the Property Services division when it had only two dedicated employees and an order book of £190,000.

During the financial year 2020-2021 turnover soared to £4.59million within difficult trading conditions – and it has been a case of “the only way is up” since then.

A total of 20 full-time staff members, two apprentices and four tradesmen give an indication of the rate of growth.

Frank added: “At this stage, Procast Property Services have a strong and steady workstream, which includes new-build commercial projects, design-and-build programmes, modular construction commissions, residential and commercial refurbishments, alterations, remodelling, renovations and fit-outs.

“We are also busy preparing to launch our first residential housing project. We have secured the land, the design process is under way and we hope to launch this before the end of 2021.

“Our exciting growth has been a huge factor in bringing talented individuals to Procast – we are a family business and align our values with this.

“We now have all the building blocks in place to take the next step forward.”

So what are Frank’s personal highlights so far?

  1. Successfully handing over Onthank Early Childhood Centre extension and woodland play areas (main picture) just after the national lockdown in July 2020. This was our first school expansion project.
  2. Securing (and now near completion) the modular design and build expansion of St Ninian’s High School in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire.
  3. Successfully securing Major repairs Phase 2 for Queens Cross Housing Association in Glasgow. This has provided us with the platform to further expand our team and provide job security for everyone at PPS.
  4. PPS now have a strong reputation for professionalism, transparency and providing a quality end product that we can be proud of.
