Queens Cross Housing Association is a community-based social landlord with nearly 4,300 homes located in the North of Glasgow. Their housing stock includes tower blocks, multi-storey flatted developments, deck access properties and tenement blocks.
Working towards improving their housing stock to meet Scottish Housing Quality Standard and Scottish Social Housing Charter standards, the association commissioned a £1.1m substantial refurbishment and upgrade to the communal areas of the Dundasvale Court tower blocks.
Procast was appointed as Main Contractor through a competitive tendering process that identified the most suitably qualified, commercial competitiveness, experienced of collaborative partnership working in occupied buildings with a proven track history of delivering quality services on time and within agreed costs.
The works are being conducted within a ‘live environment’ with focus on the safety of the residents, visitors and members of the public being key throughout the duration of the contract.
We are nearly three quarters way through the contract transforming the internal communal areas within programme, budget and with ‘zero’ accidents.
