The new improved hospitality suites created by Procast at Hibs FC’s Easter Road stadium are proving to be a winner.
Fans, caterers and online media channels have heaped praise on the finished result within the main West Stand.
The company were signed up to double the scale of the hospitality facilities, so that fans could enjoy differing levels of eating and drinking packages at the Albion Bar, the Edinburgh Club, Tornadoes and Pioneers.
To round off the “major investment”, Procast also delivered two exclusive lounges available only to special guests and visiting directors – the Emerald Lounge and the Chairman’s Club.
The programme of works kicked off in May 2022 and ran through the close season prior to handover for the first game of the football season against Edinburgh rivals Hearts at the end of July.
It involved:
Due to the nature and scale of the project, Procast had two site teams working collaboratively within different levels of the West Stand, each working to a robust construction programme to ensure we delivered the new facilities on time.
It was headed up by our John Kane, supported by Contracts Manager Gary Baxter, our Site Management team of Graeme Scott, Gary Edmond and latterly Chris Graham and
commercially by Beth Dougan our Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Jennifer Strain our Buyer.
Procast spokesman Frank McManus said: “We are delighted to have delivered these refreshed and fantastically designed facilities areas within the West Stand of Easter Road for Hibernian, as this fantastic and innovative club approach the celebration of their 150th year anniversary.
“The new state-of-the-art facilities forming the Albion Bar, Edinburgh Club, Tornadoes, Pioneers, Emerald Lounge and Chairman’s Club have almost doubled the capacity of the hospitality areas and will improve the whole match-day experience.
“I can only thank everyone at Hibernian FC for their collaboration and professionalism throughout the project period from inception to completion. A special thanks to Ben Kensell (Chief Executive Officer) and Gary O Hagan (Head of Operations and Infrastructure).
“All works were carried out in a time-critical period that complied with a fixed deadline of a full sell-out for the first home game of the season against Hearts FC, meaning we had to ensure all facilities were completed to the highest standard and all that supporters could enjoy a fantastic experience.
“Personally, I was fortunate to enjoy this day within the Emerald Suite. What an atmosphere and experience. Thankfully, a late Martin Boyle goal provided a great end to a great day.
“The Procast team look forward to inviting many guests to enjoy this hospitality area throughout the season as we continue our sponsorship with the club.
“I also wish to fully commend and congratulate David Dunn and his team at 442 Design Ltd for their experience, collaboration and guidance through the contract.
“The finished article is simply stunning, and we were fortunate to be the contractor to bring these designs to life.
“We were also very fortunate to have many professional and skilled sub-contract labour and management on site who can be proud of the job they did.
“A special thanks to Mark and Scott and their team at our manufactured joinery partner BJM Design Ltd for delivering again to a great standard.
“Lastly to my team at Procast, it was a really challenging period for our organisation due to the programme duration and technical challenges provided but they can be very proud of what they achieved.”
