Challenges Faced

We identified that there had been a previous problem with children climbing scaffolds at night and on weekends.

Overcoming challenges/Added Value

To ensure appropriate supervision and security of the site, in line with our risk management and Health and Safety procedures we attached ‘Procast Site Safety rules’ banners to scaffolds. This made the scaffolds harder to access and also provided Health and Safety advice to the general public. In addition, ladders for scaffold access were closed off when our Operatives were finished at the end of the day to stop members of the public from accessing the scaffolding structure and potentially injuring themselves.
