We worked in collaboration with West Lothian Council to refurbish the Seafield Community Centre. The centre had fallen into disrepair and as part of improving community facilities in the area, it was decided to upgrade and refurbish the building and repair it for the future.
We identified that there had been a previous problem with children climbing scaffolds at night and on weekends.
To ensure appropriate supervision and security of the site, in line with our risk management and Health and Safety procedures we attached ‘Procast Site Safety rules’ banners to scaffolds. This made the scaffolds harder to access and also provided Health and Safety advice to the general public.
In addition, ladders for scaffold access were closed off when our Operatives were finished at the end of the day to stop members of the public from accessing the scaffolding structure and potentially injuring themselves.
