We identify and undertake initiatives that draw upon our skills and resources, to provide a sustainable and tangible contribution to local communities.
This includes, together with our supply chain, maximising the use of local merchants and labour while continuing to promote the principles of equality, inclusion and diversity.
We are passionate and committed about our responsibilities, especially giving back to the community. We want to continue our success but we also want to continue being an active and supportive partner working in close cooperation with our communities.
As we continue to grow as a company and our turnover increases, we are delighted and proud that our contributions given to the community have also increased to reflect this growth.
Our aspiration is simple – to make a positive impact in communities by supporting selected causes and charities, and encouraging our staff to get involved where they can.
Our very own dedicated Developing the Young Workforce Officer Lisamarie Innes created our bespoke School Educational Programme and is delivering it to local children.
It consists of an infant school workshop and two middle school workshops focusing on the construction industry for children experiencing:
As an integral part of our programme, we aim to enter into local business partnership agreements with local schools to develop the young workforce and help prepare them with some of the skills and knowledge that they need to succeed in work and in later adult life.
This development of knowledge, skills and understanding will be mutually beneficial for the staff and pupils of schools and Procast.
We are delighted that one of the partnerships already established is with St Bernadette’s Primary School in Motherwell.
