This project consisted of a full internal and external refurbishment of nine tenement flats, including common areas.
Works included: sandstone repairs to the front elevation and reinstatement of ornamental balustrades on parapet; timber preservation; re-roofing; rainwater goods; external doors and windows (sash and case); structural repairs; installation of external wall insulation and render; insulation to inside of external walls; new kitchens, bathrooms, joinery finishes; mechanical and electrical installations; new structural openings; formation of new external bin store and gas housing; new internal finishes.
During the works, the two existing commercial retail units and pub on the ground floor remained “live” and Procast had to ensure they could continue to operate safely with as little disruption as possible.
