Vacancy for experienced Site Manager – Islay

Due to recent success with tendered projects, we require an experienced Site Manager to join the team.
As a business, we operate over several sectors including residential, retail, health and commercial with both private and public sector clients.

Position: Site Manager
Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Location: Port Ellen, Islay
Duration: 40 weeks
Project start: June 2023
About the role
Successfully and effectively manage all day-to-day site activities for the construction of a new-build community hub, motorhome facilities and associated external hard and soft landscaping works in a safe, timely manner to the desired quality standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Implement all aspects of our HSEQ policy on site to maintain safe systems of work and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Deliver site inductions to site operatives and visitors.
· Review subcontractor RAMS.
· Complete weekly/daily inspections.
- Undertake all necessary management duties in line with project demands, including management and direction of all subcontractors and in house labour.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with contract specification, drawings and quality standards.
- Issue weekly progress reports
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with our Commercial team
- Effectively communicate with the client’s clerk of works and design team
- Complete material requisitions and programme all deliveries
Candidate requirements
- SMSTS/SSTS as a minimum
- First Aid certificate
- CSCS card
- Adequate experience at Site Manager level
