Award-winning retrofit and energy-efficiency specialist Procast Group, which has served as the main sponsor of Airdrie Golf Club’s annual charity golf event for several years, has helped raise over £6,000 for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) and Eddlewood Sports Centre as part of this year’s event.
The popular golf event, which has been affectionately nicknamed the Three Amigos Golf Day, took place in May, bringing together golf enthusiasts across Lanarkshire for a day of fundraising and friendly competition at Airdrie Golf Club.
Now a regular fixture in the Procast Group calendar, the event continues to raise important funds for charities and community causes across the local area.
This year’s golf day raised over £6,000 in total, with proceeds supporting both SAMH and Eddlewood Sports Centre, where Procast Group is currently carrying out works, making the group’s participation in the event particularly meaningful as a local delivery partner.
SAMH has also been supported by Procast Group through a number of fundraising initiatives over the years, reflecting its ongoing commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
The funds raised will help SAMH continue delivering essential services and support for people experiencing mental health challenges across Scotland.
Gerry Peat, Transport and HR Manager at Procast Group and organiser of the event, said: "We are incredibly proud to be the main sponsor of the Three Amigos Golf Day. Every year, we’re overwhelmed by the amount of support shown and it’s something we always look forward to.
“It's so much more than a golfing day; we see it as vital opportunity for people to come together and raise money for local causes like SAMH who make a genuine difference in
the communities we serve, including in Eddlewood where we have been proud to carry out recent works on the sports centre.
"Both causes are extremely worthy and to raise £6,000 is a fantastic achievement and a credit to everyone involved. We'd like to thank all of our golfers and supporters for helping make the day such a success."
Community fundraising remains an important part of Procast Group's ethos, with the company continuing to support organisations that create positive change across Scotland.
