The Project
Looking to boost their green energy credentials, South Lanarkshire College called in our experts for an exciting four-week project that involved the supply and installation of a 150kw/h solar photovoltaic system – comprising 372 panels over a 720m2 area – on the roof of the college in East Kilbride.
The speed and success of this project was key to the college meeting its renewables targets and reducing their own impressively low carbon footprint requirements.
Overview
The Approach
To avoid disturbing students as much as possible, careful planning, sequencing and segregation of works was implemented because the college was fully operational throughout the duration of the contract.
Furthermore, as the existing roof was metal, a Renusol Metasole+ mounting system had to be installed in order for the PV panels to successfully be installed and operate.
Our team was thanked for carrying out the works professionally and diligently, delivering the project on time and on budget.
