The Project
This was a comprehensive green-energy focused refurbishment of the club house, involving the installation of a sizeable ground source heat pump and photovoltaic system, more than 1.5kilometres of underground
pipework, full rewiring of existing lighting power, new bespoke bar area, industrial kitchen, toilets, changing rooms, shower rooms, underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation system, electric vehicle charging point
and upgraded external lighting.
Overview
The Approach
A fully collaborative approach was adopted, with all Procast divisions
involved. This allowed us to have the contract completed in record time
for the start of the new rugby season.
The Outcome
The building has dramatically reduced its carbon footprint with all the
heating, hot water and electrical demands being supplied by the
commercial GSHP and PV systems. The appearance of the clubhouse
has also been dramatically improved, as has the ambient comfort of
those using the facility
