The Project
Procast was called in by West Highland Housing Association (WHHA) to install Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) into two, three and four-bedroom properties in Oban.
The ASHP units, which are linked to Sunamp Heat Batteries, will supply the heating and hot water requirements to these social housing properties. The project also included bathroom upgrades.
This project formed the first phase of a whole house upgrade project that WHHA were rolling out to all their social housing properties.
Overview
The Approach
This particular contract allowed Procast to call upon its expertise within its Energy Services Department and deliver the project in-house, utilising its own heating engineers, electricians, joiners, builders and management team.
This innovative project was our first using phase changing materials within the battery storage system. The Sunamp heat batteries are state of the art, maximising energy efficiency when it comes to the overall heating and hot water system.
