A MAJOR contract to refurbish multi-storey residential properties in Grangemouth for Falkirk Council has been won by Procast.
The £1.4 million programme of works will take 45 weeks to complete and will involve significant upgrades to the local authority-owned homes.
A start date has yet to be confirmed for the project but once under way, it will involve:
One of the most demanding aspects of the contract will be the installation of a new pitched roof, including timber trusses, on top of an existing flat roof structure.
As a result, full planning and preparation for crane operations have had to be laid out, including programme schedule, road permit and a traffic management plan.
A spokesman for Procast said: “The securing of this exciting project gives us another opportunity to strengthen our working relationship with Falkirk Council.”
