Procast Starts New Project in Cumbernauld

20th February 2018

Procast is delighted to be trusted by North Lanarkshire Council to deliver the Afton Road, Kildrum HEEPS ABS Project in Cumbernauld.

Following on from a smooth mobilisation, we are here on site today Monday 19 January 2018 to start the project as scheduled.  The project is programmed to be completed by late June 2018.

The project is part of the Council’s plan to improve the quality of their social housing through high-quality external refurbishment and upgrade works to this mixed tenure of social and private tenants in the six blocks of flats. You can read more about the North Lanarkshire Council’s delight at being awarded funding from the Scottish Government to insulate priority homes in Kildrum here.

Having secured HEEPS ABS funding for this project and conducted pre-works building inspections by our Energy Assessor, the upgrade and improvement works is at no cost to homeowners and will bring benefits to residents including:

  • Help reduce fuel poverty by reducing the costs of heating bills
  • Makes homes a more comfortable living space
  • Increases the thermal performance of their buildings
  • Increases the look and aesthetics of their homes
  • Residents receive a 25-year guarantee for the works

This project also helps us to support youth employment in the North Lanarkshire area.

We are delighted to have already recruited local resident Cameron MacKay, where this project gives us the opportunity to help support and develop his start to a sustainable career in the construction industry.
