Procast was recently involved with young carers in Lanarkshire through generating much needed funds for an ‘Action for Children’ project supporting young carers across the region and also delivering Christmas presents to the young carers.
Ian Sloan, Practice Team Leader at Action for Children North Lanarkshire Young Carers, said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of Procast. Through their donations and gifts, they brought some early Christmas joy to the young carers we support – it was wonderful to see so many happy faces!”
Derek Innes, our Managing Director, added: “We believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn, develop and enjoy a positive childhood to help them develop healthily into adulthood and fulfil their full potential. Young carers may not have this opportunity as they may help to look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol”.
“We are both honoured and humbled to be given this opportunity to make a small difference, the young carers were given the opportunity to create their Christmas wish list which we fulfilled and seeing so many of these fantastic youngsters’ happy faces when we delivered their presents yesterday makes it all so worthwhile”.
